Our Little baby is growing up! Since Gianna was sick with an ear infection right before the holidays we did not have time to get her Christmas portraits taken. So we just took her a few days after Christmas-better late than never. She sat so nicely knowing that a bag of M&M's was waiting for her-whatever works, huh? We love you Peanut!!!

Merry Christmas 2006!

Thursday, December 14, 2006

We were sent this picture by our nephew, Jon. This picture of Gianna and her Daddy was taken at her 3rd birthday party back in October. I just thought it was so cute. Gianna is truly "Daddy's Little Girl"

Gianna was invited to The Variety Club's annual holiday party yesterday. What a wonderful event for children with disabilities. From the second we arrived they were so warm and welcoming. They had a DJ,clowns,Elmo,Big Bird and Cookie Monster and more. Lunch was provided and toys along with Santa's arrival.Well.......... about an hour into the event, I was in line with Gianna waiting for an autograph of one of The Philadelphia Phillies(sorry, don't know his name) when Gianna darted for an empty polaroid film cartridrge that was on the table. Well, I took it out of her hand and when I did, the metal part on the inside tore through her finger like a hot knife through butter-almost 3 hours in the emergency room Gianna ended up with 5 stitches. And mommy and daddy had very big headaches!!! Here she is in the emergency room waiting to be seen. I think I aged about 5 years in one day!

I am so amazed that Gianna let me put this hat on-she does not like to wear hats. So, I had to snap her picture.............. We were just getting ready to go to her evening horse therapy class so I put it on to keep her head warm-she wore it for about a whole 30 seconds!!!!!! What a shame because she looks so cute. I love you baby..............

On our recent trip to the shore Gianna was given a "makeover" by her older cousin Toni. Gianna loved having her nails painted and lip gloss put on her lips. She is quite the little Diva!

Have not written in awhile. We are enjoying our summer so much that we rarely have time to blog. Gianna is doing great and will start preschool shortly after she turns 3 in September. I will miss her so much since we were inseparable over the summer. I will return to work the day after Labor Day and I know I will miss her so much=( Here she is looking out our kitchen window as Daddy takes her picture!

Nor'Easter 2006. It started snowing on Saturday, February 11th and did not end until the next afternoon. Here in Philly we got about 12 inches! We took Gianna out to play in the snow for the first time since she could walk. She did a great job and needed just a little help. Here she is in our back yard.

Happy Valentine's
Day 2006!

MEEEEOOOOOW! I love cats so my mommy made me a kitty cat for Halloween. Cat was one of my first words!

I just love sitting in the grass-and I tried eating it too-yuck! In this picture I was just about ready to turn 2!

I love my daddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one makes me smile like my daddy. He treats me like a little princess. If I am sad, he gives me great big daddy hugs. When he comes home from work I scream and run to him. If he does not pick me up I cry. I just absolutely love him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vacation Time!
Here I am with my other brother Tommy in Ocean City, New Jersey. We went there on vacation last summer. I just love rides! And I adore both my brothers. They watch over me and make sure I am safe. They play with me and Tommy makes me laugh when he chases me around. I am walking now and started right around when this picture was taken in August 2005. Now I can really get into stuff!
Happy Birthday To Me!!!
Here I am in my pretty party dress when I was one years old! My mommy and daddy threw me a big party with all of our family and friends. I was not crawling yet but I sure was trying. Still no talking but alot of baby babbling. About one week after my first birthday I began to crawl!! Hooray for me!!!!!!!! The next step was walking.

Here I am when I was just 3 months old! You can't tell in this picture but I was such a grumpy baby and my mommy says I only slept for two hours at a time until I was about 9 months old. But mommy and daddy were patient and took turns rocking and feeding me. No one new I had WS when I was this young. In fact, my mommy and daddy never heard of WS. Not too many people do. I probably was so irritable because of pains I was having due to too much calcium in my little body. That's what the specialists at the Williams Syndrome Clinic told my parents. I am such a good sleeper now and never wake up on my own. When mom comes in to wake me up I always say, "sleep".

Gianna Nicole

Hi, my name is Gianna Nicole. I also go by the nicknames Gia, Princess GG, and Peanut. I was born on September 10th ,2003 at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania. I weighed a whopping 5 lbs., 15 ounces and was 18 inches long. My two big brothers, Frankie and Tommy, were so happy that I joined the family. And my mommy and daddy thought I was the most beautiful baby in the world-they still do!Here I am with Frankie at the hospital. I have Williams Syndrome which is a genetic disorder. I also have a few heart problems. To find out more about Williams Syndrome go to www.wsf.org or www.williams-syndrome.org. My mommy always visits these sites and has found new friends and support through the WS List serve. I have 4 therapists that visit me every week to help me. Miss. Robin is my Special Instructor,Miss Melissa is my Occupational Therapist, Miss Donna is my Physical Therapist and Miss Joan is my Speech Therapist. Right now I am walking and learning to go up and down steps. I am talking using both sign language and one to two word sentences. But the thing I do best is make people smile. I am such a happy kid. My mom says that I show off for strangers when we are out but I can't help it. I am a social butterfly!
